Synopsis
Rediscovering Fanon explores the enduring legacy of Frantz Fanon (1925–1961), the revolutionary psychiatrist and philosopher from Martinique who, like Malcolm X, became one of the twentieth century's most influential thinkers on race, colonialism, and liberation. Through interviews, archival footage, and dramatizations filmed in Martinique, France, Algeria, and the United States, the documentary connects Fanon's life and ideas to contemporary struggles against systemic racism and colonialism and to the continuing quest for human dignity.
